Tips that Have Helped Me in Growing My Fine Hair Long – Part 3

Tips and Advice for Women With Thin or Fine Hair

Tip 8 – Weekly washing and deep conditioning: I will be honest that sometimes I don’t always hit the weekly mark. However washing weekly and deep conditioning my hair every week helps to promote growth and health.

Tip 9 – Proper balance of moisture and protein: I believe that this is very important for keeping fine strands healthy and growing. At first, I tended to focus more on giving my hair moisture, moisture, moisture. Moisture is good, but for fine strands there must be a balance. Too much more moisture can cause hair to become mushy and too soft thus making it weak and prone to breakage. Protein is great for keeping my fine hair strong, but too much protein causes my hair to become hard and break.

Tip 10 – Choose the right products for your hair type: This was vital for me, because when I first started this hair care journey, I went out and purchased almost every product that was raved about on some of the long hair care forums. I finally realized that what works for someone else may not work for me. I had to find products that worked well with my fine strands.

I used to have trouble with moisture/protein balance. But I then realized it needed them both and just respond to my hair.
