Self Treatments for Thin Hair: Ayurveda

Ayurveda a Way to Treat your Fine Hair

Ayurveda is a method for self treating thinning hair, or chronically dry hair that is prone to split ends. It has even been shown to produce results in people who have issues with balding. This treatment is most used in India and Sri Lanka, but has become more and more popular in the United States. Basically, the Ayurveda method is simply an all encompassing approach to healthy hair, scalp, and roots.

According to Ayurveda, toxins in our bodies from things like too much meat, smoking, drinking, caffeine, and overly acidic foods are the cause for most of the hair problems that plague people today.
When following this methodology, these are the steps that need to be taken to obtain healthy, luscious hair.

• Try to find a shampoo that is a little more natural than you may be used to. There are some you can find with no dyes or perfumes in them. This will help to ensure the hair is getting really clean, all the way to the roots. After shampooing, rub your scalp vigorously to help the general circulation

• You must remember to oil and massage your scalp at least three times a week to ensure proper moisture level is achieved. Coconut oil is a really good one to use, and can be found in any health food store.

• As crazy as it seems, when you gotta go, you gotta go. Make sure to have a daily bowel movement, as not going often enough can also affect the growth pace and overall health of your hair.

• Add some green leafy vegetables and high protein meat like chicken to your diet.

• Exercise!

• Apply some of the oil, mixed with lime juice to the hair itself as needed for moisture.

Follow these steps and you will see that you are beginning to have healthier, more beautiful hair!
