How a Poor Diet Results in Thinning Hair
In order to have healthy hair, you must also eat healthy. It is important to have proper nutrition consisting of fruits, vegetables, lean protein, etc. Although, some may have medical reasons for thinning hair, many will find that their thinning hair or hair loss is due to poor eating habits. So, it is important for women to get the proper amount of food intake and nutrients to avoid possible thinning of the hair. Here are some examples of poor nutrition that can possibly result in thinning hair:
Minimal Protein Intake – Hair is made of protein a diet lacking the proper of amount of protein could possibly result in thinning hair.
Deficiency in vitamins and minerals – iron deficiency (a reduction in the number of red blood cells) is something that many women deal with and could also lead to thinning hair. Lack of Vitamin B Complex and B12 (this is common in vegetarians) could result in thinning hair or hair loss.
Eating Disorders – Studies have shown that anorexia nervosa can cause severe hair loss.
Good news, if your thinning hair or hair loss is due to poor nutrition, rest assured that it is short lived! To correct the problem make sure to eat a balanced diet.
